Migic Marsh, as predicted is incredible! Tons of coverage and very firm. Great for skating and classic-there is a 1-2 cm layer of old rotten/granular snow on top for grip. Best temerature to go is -5 to around freezing-i.e usually in the morning. Once it gets up to +2 or above it starts to get pretty soft and goopy.

Evening of 12 March Midgic Marsh is starting to get icy, but is still skateable.
Or just blow with the wind… although coming back is tricky.

Yes, the Midgic marsh is fantastic, I`ve followed the Tantramar River up from the Midgic road for quite a ways and it is so beautiful! As is Kouchibouguac, where particularly the skate ski conditions are amazing as of March 10. The classical skiing there is fast but a bit icy.

    Happy skiing!
