Bucky is going to head up shortly to try and scuff up some of the crunchy stuff, hoping to find the golden window between too packy and too hard to make a bit of a track. This will make skiing possible- right now between debris causing sudden stopping and the lack of a track and the speedy transformed snow- well I suspect not even the Stravites aren’t out. Glide will be a very zippy 3-3.5 and there may be a bit of loose snow in the pole track but I suspect braking won’t be very brisk. But there should be enough loose snow that with caution you can remove skis and walk down hills.
Nothing that 17 snow flakes/square cm wouldn’t fix, but we may have to wait until Friday, with fingers c
