Trail Conditions

Delayed Start to National Firewood Day

Ian and I are going to wait until the wind chill warms to -20 before we head to the woods, so we likely won’t start cutting until closer to 1030 so won’t be ready for all of you wood haulers until closer to 1130 or 1200. The location is Sugar Brook Lodge, which I apparently was vague about.
Bucky did some beautiful grooming today. By late afternoon though there was a lot of debris blown into the track which helped slow things down to a 3/4 glide (it was often faster in the pole track), with occasional catching. It would only take a cm of flurries to slow things down and cover up the debris but if not it will remain zippy tomorrow. I am sure if this writer hadn’t made derogatory comments about leaf blowers, Ian “Leaf Blower” Fisher would be out there at the crack of dawn clearing out the tracks for you all. Oh for a filter or two…..
And don’t forget Karin is leading a *snow shoe outing* at 1 from the CTTrail parking, there is a session at Town Hall at 2, with Refreshments, about the *Pickard Quarry*, it’s History and development as the latest Town Park, and the* Potluck *at 5:30 at the Curling Club.- All kind of great excuses to avoid moving wood. Sleep well,
