Trail Conditions

For the Devout

For the dedicated, devoted denizens of the trails, there remains enough snow to ski on up the hill. The snow is nice and dense, and being saturated with water in it’s liquid state will produce lots of suction on ski bases with subsequent slowing. But if you find the weather dreary, and the Christmas shopping weary, then you can always try a little forest therapy. Waxless rock skis of course, and as per last year’s pre Christmas’ advice, not the conditions to be testing out those nice skis you bought your dearly beloved(s) for Christmas, even in the name of “making sure they work OK”. If you venture to the Quarry road trail head, where the conditions are better, expect the road to be a greasy mix of mud and slush and maybe some ice mixed in so make sure the snow tires are on. Cheers,
