Grooming, Loppets

Bucky did some nice grooming at Beech Hill, including improving on his earlier skate track and preparing the sliding hills for the Winterfest fun Saturday afternoon. He also did the main Red Yellow Blue loop, and the scouts yesterday reported great skiing even before he got there so it should be great again today with green working nicely, or skins or waxless if you prefer a more sedate pace. glide will be 2-2.5/4. There are impending loppets at Miramichi on the 16th February and Wostawea/Fredericton on 23rd February. Both have multiple distances for most ages and you are mostly (meant to be ) competing against yourself and having fun, which is usually widespread at these events. More info at xcski-nb.ca where there is also info on the national Masters ranking system where you can compare your performances with skiers nation wide. Don’t all rush to the site and overload it…. Cheers,
