It’s not fast , but it’s Slow

And so sayeth the TOC Poet Laureate, Cy Bernard( oft heard reciting the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner as he snips branches). Glide in Yesterday’s set track is down to 2/4 and in older tracks on the Birches and Blue closer to 1/4. There are bare spots but these seem mostly organic rather than the abrupt-cessation -of-forward-progress gravel/rock. And as any member of the Skiing Humus In Tantramar (Please no acronyms), that secretive crowd who ski all summer on the humus covered trails- lousy track but nice and leisurely pace- humus slows but nothing abrupt! By this afternoon everything should be very leisurely as more snow transforms to water and creates suction on skis. And then we will likely have to wait for new snow to continue skiing. They seem to have plenty of snow in Charlo and according to the Nordic Pulse app are grooming daily. Cheers,
