Getting predictions right at these temps are tricky, and best thought of as whimsy. After yesterdays gloom and doom forcast on this channel, conditions turned out to be angelic- a whiff of freezing rain produced fine glide at 2.5 and eliminated sticking. Today should be nice skiing with a few flurries last night minimizing the possibility of a glazed fast track, and with temps never getting very cold and lots of liquid in the snow at present the Sticky Index should be less than 1/4, but as per yesterday, I will update the website later this morning. It is too warm for Bucky to groom today- hopefully tomorrow though.
Bob Murray reports that Hub Cycle in Truro has a sale on ski equipment- skis 50 % off poles and boots 30 %off. Not sure what Mikes, Jims or Velo Ski in Moncton have on sale, but this is the best time of year to be buying ski equipment. TOC has no formal sponsorship arrangements but usually if you ask and state you are a TOC member they will give a discount or 10-15%, though likely not on sale items.
Finally, if you or your Jackrabbit are missing this nice pair of Ripzone mitts, they are at Sugar Brook Lodge. Have a nice Day,
