Bucky has already groomed Red and Yellow but snow really hadn’t dried out enough and things were already warming up. Glide should finally be pretty pleasant this morning, briefly, with cool, transformed snow- likely 3 out of 4, compared to the painful 0.5 slog yesterday. Grip on groomed track should be great until -1 degree after which waxless, skins or those magical Zero skis should work nicely. If you prefer a more sedate pace, then waiting until 3 or 4 degrees will produce enough water in the snow to create the slowing suction which makes for the glide(or rather lack there of) you are seeking. And the snow fleas will be out hopping about in glee and turning the trail black in the glorious pre spring sunshine. Cheers,
