The Groom has been

Bucky spent the morning flattening the ski trails and in some more open areas setting track. Although things were dreadfully slow when I started in untracked, fresh, cold snow, glide is now fair- about 2-2.5/4 and grip is good. I think with the amount of dense snow we have had and the packing there should be very few bare areas except in some of the track that was set. Thanks to Bob and Janine Murray who spent hours over the past several days snipping and trimming some of the array of overhanging branches and trees, and to Bucky who continued the same work today. The fire is on at Sugar Brook Lodge. The stove door is a bit hard to close but will have to wait until it cools down to adjust it. Cheers,
