Welcome back Winter

Shockingly my phone hasn’t been ringing off the hook seeking ski advice, although since phones don’t have hooks any more, that would be pretty unlikely. In fact that expression, all too familiar to folks of a certain age, is likely as Greek to many of you as LOL and FOMO are to some of the certain agers. At any rate your concerned president issued an Executive Order requiring me to make a pilgrimage to the Promised Land and report back to the Faithful. Not surprisingly it was already down to zero up there vs 1 degree in the lowlands. And there is considerably more snow- at least 10 cm of fairly dense material. Certainly skiable where the conifers are not. I think skiing will be much nicer tomorrow after dipping below freezing tonight. I suspect the snow is too warm to stick, but “suspect” is not necessarily a very reliable guarantor. There is not enough to groom but it may propel us to switch the ATVs current wheels for the tracks soon. Currently there is no plowing of the Walker Road beyond Exit 500 so you definitely should have snow tires and lots of clearance if you venture beyond this. Cheers,
