Brrrr!!

But the sun is glowing and the wind quiescent. Bucky did some grooming yesterday. He was able to set some nice tracks on the Coombs Road, Wood Road part of Blue and even along the new bypass and clearcut, the Birches and maybe parts of Red and the Crooked Tree Trail. Unfortunately he only flat groomed LeRond and Quarry-Go-Round and likely other terrain I didn’t get to, so skiing here will be less satisfactory. It is possible to create a new track in many of these areas by skiing to the far side of the grooming where there is still soft snow. With the cold temps and more untransformed snow up the hill than in town, glide will remain a very pedestrian 1-2/4 range. All skis should grip nicely with just a whiff of green for the waxers enabling you to coast up the hills. I anticipate the fire at Sugar Brook Lodge will be glowing by mid day. And if anyone sees a little brown wallet with barely any money in it, it might belong to this “forgot to zip my zipper” old fellow. Cheers,
